Sugar and Spice Baby Shower

Sugar and Spice and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of.  Fitting then that we hosted a Sugar and Spice Baby Shower for a soon to be Mommy to a dear baby girl.

A sugar and spice baby shower theme lends itself to a beautiful color palette of pinks and browns for the decor and I took full advantage!

Jungle Party for a little Monkey

This Jungle Party theme for a little monkey (my nephew) turning 2 was great fun to put together. My sister told me she wanted something simple but fun and bright. I was thrilled when she decided on a Jungle Party as it meant I could use my 'forest backdrop' which I love. I used orange and green as the main colors and hung a banner of the birthday boy's name above the table, which brought in the invitation imagery and fonts. 

Cowboy Party

Cowboy parties for little boys (or cowgirls) are such fun and this one was no exception! The mood was set with a theme based invitation calling all cowboys to head on over to the ranch for a party! For consistency, the colors and fonts used in the invite were carried throughout the party area. The Mom wanted a rustic cowboy feel but also use quite a bit of red and blue to brighten things up.

The backdrop was created using lined hessian and pinned to secure. Bunting hanging banners were printed in the party colors and threaded using a fine string. Some blue and red balloons finished off the backdrop effect nicely.

Rainbow Themed Party

This bright Rainbow Party certainly added a dash of color to an otherwise cold, wet winter's day in Cape Town. The colorful invitation set the mood for a great rainbow party celebration.

Little Monster Party

With Flair's very first 'real' styled party was a Little Monster Party for a first birthday. Granted, it was my son's party, but as this was the launch of my new business it was a doubly-exciting time. 

Guests were welcomed at the entrance with a replica of the invitation, with text changed, to set the mood and a great big bowl of sweeties. Of course, those were the first to go!
