The backdrop was created using lined hessian and pinned to secure. Bunting hanging banners were printed in the party colors and threaded using a fine string. Some blue and red balloons finished off the backdrop effect nicely.
Crates, straw bales, gold coins and old pans were some of the props used to bring the dessert table to 'life'. A special mention must be made of the incredible 3 tier cake from Cherry on Top Cakes and Cupcakes. This lady is super talented and makes styling a dessert table around her beautiful cakes just a pleasure!
Some other sweet treats included chocolate brownies and chocolate eclairs. I opted to display these in old pans to give an authentic 'campfire' cooking feel. The theme inspired food labels added a special touch.
The contrast of the browns against the bright blue checkered table runner was rather effective. And a sprinkling of gold plastic coins brought in another 'wild west' element. I struck a luck with the hosts already owning a full size barrel in the party area which I used to place chocolate milkshakes and the custom made WANTED photo prop!
The little cowboys and cowgirls each received a take home back with some gold chocoloate coins, a sheriff badge and a home-made bandana. I used brown paper bags with themed name labels to finish off the look.
Have you ever hosted a cowboy party? Would love to hear what you did!
